Yetta Starr receives Distinguished Service to UC Award

Yetta Starr, has been recognized with the Chicagoans for Cincy! 2017 Distinguished Service to UC Award.

The Distinguished Service to UC Award is presented to a dedicated Chicago-area alumnus/alumna who has faithfully rendered outstanding service to the University of Cincinnati. This award is meant to recognize outstanding volunteer contributions by UC Chicago alumni and demonstrate appreciation to those who are usually over-modest, unpaid, and unthinking of personal reward.

Yetta graduated with a B.S. in Interior Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP). Following professional practice at Herman Miller UK, and later honing her skills in Chicago at Eva Maddox Associates, Perkins + Will, and the Environments Group, Yetta founded Starr Design Associates, Inc. in 1991, a multidisciplinary design firm where she currently serves as Founding Principal and Creative Director.
